Yellow Dextrin is a fine powdered substance which is sticky and hygroscopic in nature having a low viscosity. This low molecular weight carbohydrate has a chemical formula of (C6H10O5)n with variable molar mass as per the size of molecular chain. It is commonly used as a binding agent, testifiers, and water soluble adhesives for the manufacturing of liquid as well as dry adhesives. Yellow Dextrin can also be used as a viscosity controller and absorbent in cosmetic industries.
